The pages here explain how buying, selling and owning property generally work in Acadiana. They describe common situations. They are not advice about your situation, and reading them does not create any professional relationship between you and Chris Fontenot or Real Broker, LLC.
Nothing here is legal advice
Successions, usufruct, forced heirship, partitions, evictions, foreclosure and insurance disputes are all described on this site in general terms. Louisiana law is its own system and the answer for your property depends on facts a website cannot know. Talk to a Louisiana attorney.
Nothing here is tax or insurance advice
Capital gains, depreciation recapture, exchanges, homestead exemption, policy language and claim deadlines are described generally. Talk to a CPA about tax and to a licensed adjuster or attorney about a claim.

Accuracy and change
Written carefully, and still not guaranteed
Everything here is written to be accurate at the time it was published. Programs open and close, flood maps are revised, insurance rules change, and statutes are amended. Where something has a shelf life this site says so and tells you to check, and that instruction is not decoration.
Where a figure could not be verified it has been left out rather than estimated. There are no review counts, star ratings, sold counts or years-in-business claims on this site, because none have been substantiated.
Links to other organizations are provided because they are useful. Their content is theirs and is not endorsed or controlled here.

In Louisiana, agency in a real estate transaction arises from a written agreement. Until one is signed, nobody on this site represents you.
It does not value your property
No figure, range, worked example or table on this site is an opinion of value for a specific property. The comparison page uses an illustration with its assumptions printed on the page precisely so it cannot be mistaken for one. A real opinion of value is prepared for one address after somebody has stood in it.
It does not guarantee an outcome
Nothing here promises that a property will sell, that it will sell within a period, or that it will sell at a price. Market conditions, condition of the property, title, financing and the decisions of third parties all bear on the outcome and none of them are controlled here.
